After a ground breaking premier at Prelude 3, Mavyn is now working on an improved set that will be performed for Culture Shock SD's Choreographers Festival in Escondido, CA on March 19, 2006. They have been busting their butts off with learning new choreography and tough conditioning while balancing their busy schedules. Many Mavynites are dancing for other projects such as Miguel Zarate's "Hugs and Kisses" and Jay Chris' new set "Groove Movement", while others are struggling to still make time for school and work. This professional dance team is filled with many talented dancers and they are striving to set a unique and unforgettable impression on the dance community. So make sure to catch them at Culture Shock SD's Choreographers Festival and Trinite's CPAC Dance Showcase.
Once again, Team Millennia was privileged to share the stage with one another and work out the stage. The team has been working very hard with strenuous activities and conditioning as well as learning tough choreography. Team Millennia started off the year with big dreams and big goals. These goals and dreams came true at our first competition, Vibe XI. We should all be proud of our performance, and be thankful for everyone on this team for all the sweat and dedication that they had contributed to make our set possible. Of course, we do want to give special thanks to Jed for his open mind and creativity to develop our unique set. To John for his patience and his honesty, providing the glue that keep the team going through the hard times of competition season. To Droo for his expertise in fashion to formulate the perfect image of costumes and make-up, making sure we looked awesome on stage. To Danny for overseeing everything, making sure that all went as planned. To Tony and Emily for always believing that we could accomplish anything and were always there to provide anything that the team needed.

On February 26th, Team Millennia entered the Bren Events Center at UCI fully prepared and ready to show the dance community what we're capable of. Our tech showed good signs of everyone being confident of their talent, and then it was time for the girls to start their process in getting ready for the show. As we all got ready for the show, we realized that the moment we all have been working hard for has finally arrived. With an emotional talk and prayer before going on stage, it was a good preparation mentally knowing that you were going to share the stage with a group of people that genuinely loved each other and considered every person, family. There was a great vibe that we all felt on stage, and with TM alumni cheering for us in the front row, it was hard to walk off the stage. We ended up leaving the show with a trophy for 3rd place, an awesome feeling of performing on stage and a hunger to do it again! Congratulations Team Millennia, you guys are the shizzle my nizzle!

On February 25th, TM Juniors held their spring auditions. There were many talented young dancers that came and showed off their style. We wish we could've accepted everyone...it was a hard decision to make for the TM Juniors' captains and artistic director. Unfortunately there's not enough space to accept everybody, but we hope those that didn't make it will continue in their passion of dance and come back to our next auditions! Welcome to those Juniors who are new to the family...the rest of the Trinité family are anxious to meet you. Congratulations! We can't wait to see you at your first performance at CPAC Dance Showcase on March 25th.
